Berlin, 4 September 2019 – Delivery Hero Group (“Delivery Hero”), one of the leading global online food ordering and delivery marketplaces, publishes its half-year 2019 results.
Delivery Hero has significantly accelerated its growth in the second quarter of 2019. Accordingly, revenue increased by 103% on a constant currency basis compared to the same period of the previous year.
BIO- LUTIONS produces sustainable packaging and disposable tableware made from agricultural residues.
Delivery Hero has sustained its strong growth through successful deployment of investments, expansion of leadership and delivery capabilities. In Q1 2019, revenue grew by 93% year-on-year on a constant currency basis.
The Hero Award will go to share, a social brand that focuses on the 1+1 principle. For every share protein bar, bottle of water or hand soap that’s sold, the company provides one meal, one day’s water supply, or one piece of soap to a person in need.
The acquisition will add c. 1.2 MM monthly orders and c. USD 2 MM monthly revenue to Delivery Hero’s MENA business and will strengthen its leadership position in the UAE.
Delivery Hero accelerated growth in the fourth quarter. In the financial year 2018 revenue grew by 77% year-on-year on a constant currency basis excluding Germany and accounting for hyperinflation in Argentina.
Delivery Hero S.E. announced today, that Ralf Wenzel, Chief Strategy Officer, and Eduardo Goes, Chief Logistics Officer, will be leaving the company during the first half of 2019 at their own request, in order to pursue new opportunities.
