Berlin, 17 May 2023 – Delivery Hero SE, the world’s leading local delivery platform, was honored with the Corporate Finance Award 2023 in the Debt category. The Corporate Finance Awards have been presented annually by Börsen-Zeitung in cooperation with PwC since 2011, recognising companies for outstanding financial transactions. This year’s award is Delivery Hero’s second CFA win, following the prize for the Company’s extraordinary IPO in 2017.
This year, Delivery Hero won the category “Debt” for the debt financing of EUR 1.4 billion, which was concluded in April 2022. The transaction marked another milestone for Delivery Hero as the Company has been progressing on its objective of delivering healthy growth, while advancing on the path to profitability. It played a significant role in establishing a strong and diversified capital structure, providing financial flexibility and liquidity.
I am truly grateful for this award. It took our teams only five days to close a transaction that usually takes two to three weeks, in a very tough environment. This is, in my view, a clear sign of trust from the investors and a testament to the hard work of all involved. It is proof that what we are, what we do, and, most importantly, what we intend to do, is understood and appreciated.
