Delivery Hero appoints members of new Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board to drive business success

  • Delivery Hero has appointed eight members to its new Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board
  • Having assumed their mandates on 15 September 2021, the inaugural meeting will be held during Q4 2021
  • The new board includes representatives from Delivery Hero and its local entities, foodpanda and PedidosYa, as well as from Microsoft and the University of Virginia
  • The board will act as a body of experience and expertise, striving to influence and improve Delivery Hero’s D&I work

Berlin, 21 October 2021 – Delivery Hero SE (“Delivery Hero”), the world’s leading local delivery platform, today announced the appointment of eight members to its new Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board. This includes internal and external representatives to promote fair representation, inclusivity, and equitable structures at Delivery Hero.

At Delivery Hero we are committed to driving business growth through a representative and inclusive workforce. We have set up the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board to ensure diversity and inclusion color everything we do. Drawing on their diverse experience and expertise, the chosen members will act as advisors to strengthen our existing D&I strategy.

Delivery Hero is amongst the first DAX40 companies to announce a Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board. The eight appointed members include Jeri Doris (Chair), Sigrid Osterrieth (Co-Chair), Leandro Mazoni and Patricia Pierre from Delivery Hero, Evelyn Tay from foodpanda, Raul Paredes Lovera from PedidosYa, Diana S. Navas-Rosette from Microsoft, and Melissa Thomas-Hunt from the University of Virginia.

The duration of their term is one year, with the possibility to be reappointed for one additional term. Their mandate began on 15 September 2021 and the inaugural board meeting will take place during Q4 2021. Their agenda is driven by three initial goals: Firstly, to provide regular advice and consultation on D&I matters. Secondly, to function as a strategic partner to evolve the company’s D&I strategy and program for the better. Finally, to act as ambassadors on behalf of Delivery Hero to attract diverse talent and lead the conversation on D&I in the broader sector.

The Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board will have an essential role in advancing Delivery Hero’s D&I efforts. The members come from incredibly different and diverse backgrounds and have extensive experience in promoting diversity and inclusion at world-leading companies. I am confident that together, the board will influence not only the D&I work within Delivery Hero, but set a new standard for the entire industry.
