Delivery Hero’s Turkish brand Yemeksepeti launches Mahalle platform and acquires Marketyo to drive quick commerce

Berlin, 12 August 2021 – Delivery Hero SE (“Delivery Hero”), the world’s leading local delivery platform, today announces that Yemeksepeti, its subsidiary in Turkey, is launching Mahalle, a quick commerce platform aiming to deliver anything from local stores at record speed. As part of the Mahalle launch, Yemeksepeti acquires Marketyo, an online shop platform providing local supermarkets with the opportunity to move their business online, significantly expanding their customer base and adding a robust stream of additional revenue.

Marketyo operates in 60 cities all over Turkey, with a wide network of local supermarkets, a solid digital infrastructure and strong talent pool. Through this partnership, Marketyo’s member stores will add a tremendous selection of products, complementary to Yemeksepeti’s local offering.
