Team Europe launches its previously announced food delivery service Lieferheld.de

Lieferheld.de, a new and innovative food delivery service enables its visitors to easily order food and conveniently pay directly online. Orders placed through the service are then forwarded to participating restaurants that in turn fulfill these orders.

Initially Lieferheld.de will be available for Berlin and Hamburg with hundreds of restaurants already participating. In the near future the service will be rolled out to many more cities across Germany.

Lieferheld.de is financed by well-known German investors, including Team Europe or Holtzbrinck Ventures, from whom the company initially raised €1 million to launch the service.

Lieferheld.de announces as well that Fabian Siegel joined as new CEO. Fabian previously spent seven years as co-founder and CTO at online payment service provider ClickandBuy and as COO at New York-based browser add-on service kikin.

Fabian’s background in building companies and his international experience is of great importance to the rapid growth that we are expecting,” noted Markus Fuhrman, co-founder of Lieferheld.de and venture partner at Team Europe Ventures.

Prior to Fabian joining, the founding team has so far consisted of Markus Fuhrmann, Mohammadi Akhabach, Nikita Fahrenholz and Claude Ritter. Lukasz Gadowski, a partner with Team Europe Ventures, comments on the team, “I am looking forward to working with an experienced and professional team.
