foodpanda levels up local tech talent  

The first round of trainees have completed foodpanda’s inaugural PowerUp! Singapore Tech Traineeship Program, aimed to inspire, educate, and grow the local tech talent pool. During an action-packed six months, participants were equipped with the tools to kickstart their tech journey, learning the fundamentals of computer programming via Golang for the backend engineers and JavaScript and React for the frontend engineers. They then had the opportunity to apply their learnings with on-the-job training within foodpanda teams.

Glovo enters the fashion world

Glovo continued to innovate and expand its service by venturing into the world of fashion. Glovo Fashion is now available in Madrid and Barcelona and offers users products from more than 40 leading reference brands in the clothing industry.

Testing the waters of ChatGPT

Yemeksepeti has expanded food and product descriptions through ChatGPT, putting innovative new solutions within the tech sector to use. Making the ordering process even easier with this fast and innovative breakthrough, Yemeksepeti has added detailed descriptions for more than 17 thousand products. 

Over in MENA, talabat leveraged ChatGPT to become the first in the region to launch an AI grocery shopping assistant. talabat AI was launched to the company’s pro users, and uses generative AI to allow customers to search for recipes and identify the corresponding available ingredients at the same time through talabat Mart, the company’s grocery delivery service. This step is part of talabat’s vision to simplify everyday life, exploring tech-enabled ways to enhance customer experience and innovative solutions.
